How to Buzz High

Me: Dear Universe,

I want to move to a place close to the ocean, where I can see the mountains and walk to work. I want to lose my job and dig into something I care about. Oh, and I want to be a creative director too, please.

Universe: Coming right up.

What you think about is what you bring about.

Here are a couple of things I've implemented to help myself consistently buzz high even in tough times.

Surround yourself with like-minded people. There is no way in holy hell you're going to attract and create the life you want if you hang with someone who views the world with insecurity and scarcity. You will never attract abundance and success hanging with a low-buzz bud. This includes friends, business associations, and managers. If you don't have a manager behind you that believes you can move the heart if you decide to, you need a new one.

Practice gratitude. It's very easy to assume someone should do something for you. That's not true. Not one on this beautiful earth owes you squat. If you are fortunate enough to receive a great opportunity, give gratitude. If you have a client close a transaction with you, give gratitude. If you have a client close a transaction with you, give gratitude.

Stop gossiping immediately. "Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people," said Eleanor Roosevelt. Do you think Albert Einstein was sitting around talking about how that jackoff inventor Alexander Graham Bell was trying to create the telephone? Be better. Be great!

Repeat, repeat, repeat. Know your intention or goal. ('I am rookie of the year,") And say it all day, every day. "I made six figures net by the end of the year.' Whatever the goal is, write it down, have it accessible, read it often. Intentions should be written as if the goal is already here and achieved. What you want is already here. Get your high buzz on so you can attract it.

Quiet down once a day. Most people call this meditation. If that word freaks you out, then quiet down. Think about all the things that are helping you down the path you want to be on. Think about your breathing and how healthy and robust you feel. If you can, think of nothing at all and just let your brain be quiet.
